RailWise ("we", "us", or "our") is committed to protecting the privacy of all users of https://railwise.in (the "Website"). This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights in relation to it. By using this Website, you consent to the practices described herein.

1. Information We Collect

Reminder email addresses — only when you voluntarily submit the Set Reminder form. Used solely to send the booking reminders you have requested.
Usage analytics — anonymised page views, session data, and interactions collected via Google Analytics. This may include browser name, device type, operating system, and approximate geographic location (country/city level). No personally identifiable information is stored.
Cookies — see Section 7 for full details on cookies and advertising.
Non-personal technical data — IP addresses may be processed by Cloudflare for security and CDN routing purposes. This data is not stored or used by RailWise for individual identification.

2. How We Use Your Information

To send train booking reminder emails you have explicitly opted into.
To understand how visitors use the Website so we can improve its tools and content.
We do <strong>not</strong> sell, rent, or share your personal data with any third party for commercial, marketing, or advertising purposes.

3. Data Storage & Retention

Reminder data (email address, journey details, and selected reminder time) is stored in a Cloudflare D1 database hosted within Cloudflare's infrastructure. This data is retained for no more than 90 days after a reminder is dispatched, after which it is automatically and permanently purged. Analytics data is retained as per Google Analytics' standard data retention policies.

4. Third-Party Services

Google Analytics — anonymised usage analytics. Governed by Google's Privacy Policy.
Resend — transactional email delivery for reminders. Governed by Resend's Privacy Policy.
Cloudflare — web hosting, CDN, and database services. Governed by Cloudflare's Privacy Policy.
Google AdSense — advertisement delivery. Governed by Google's Privacy Policy and Ad Settings.

Each third-party service operates under its own privacy policy, which we have no control over. We recommend reviewing these policies independently.

5. Your Rights

You may request deletion of your reminder data at any time by contacting us at hello@railwise.in. We will process your request within 7 business days. You may also opt out of Google Analytics tracking at any time by installing the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.

6. Changes to This Policy

We reserve the right to update this Privacy Policy at any time. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page will reflect any changes. Continued use of RailWise after any such changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised Policy. We encourage you to review this page periodically.

7. Cookies & Advertising

Our Website uses cookies to enhance user experience and provide functionality.

Analytics cookies — standard cookies set by Google Analytics to track anonymised usage patterns. These do not store personally identifiable information.
Advertising cookies — we may display advertisements served by Google AdSense. Google uses the DART cookie to serve ads based on your visits to this and other websites. You may opt out by visiting Google Ad Settings.
RailWise does not set any first-party tracking cookies.
